1936 Ford Model 68 Description:

Up for sale is 1936 Ford Model 68 Cabriolet, originalFord’s steel.

This Ford was restored in the early 90’s.Clean car, painted in Cordoba Tan color.Comes with a folder of receipts and records dated back to 1984

The engine runs well, no issues with cold orhot starts.The transmission was rebuilt four years ago, with a newclutch installed, universal joint, seals, bearings, synchronizer, gears. Trannyshifts the way it should, smooth and quiet. The brakes are not upgraded but working well, original mechanicalbrakes, the front suspension has original Houdaille shocks, rear is upgraded tomodern shocks. All the bushings on the front suspension are replaced. New rearwheel bearings were installed four years ago. The electric installation runs on6v with positive grounding.No electric fuel pump added, runs on mechanical pump as it should.

The top made by LeBaron Bonney is in good condition,convertible hinge mechanism working.

There are a few upgrades installed: ignitioncoil, distributor, spark plugs and cables, coolant hoses and pumps (from SkipHaney), added Skip’s radiator pressure valve.

The last owner upgraded the engine to a 1937model - 81A with 21 studs cast-iron heads and water pumps mounted on block. Theoriginal engine comes with the car (needs to be rebuild)

Besides the engine there are more parts includingadditional transmission in parts, few carburetors, distributors, ignitioncoils, spare bumper, radiator, original AM radio (not installed), brake drum.

The car comes with a couple of boxes of trophiesfrom local car shows that the car has won.
