1950 Ford Other Pickups Restomod Description:

This 1950 Ford F-1 Restomod pickup is one of those vehicles that would be a smoking hot deal even at a higher price. A spectacular nut-and-bolt build, it is expertly finished to a very high standard and runs with fuel-injected 351 Ford power under the hood. Built to collect trophies, it's also wonderful to drive with lots of hidden goodies, and the fact that it has such a reasonable price tag for a truck that was finished less than a 1k miles ago makes it is absolutely amazing in every way.

We never use words like perfect or flawless, but you could spend a lot of time poring over the beautiful red paint on this beauty and not find any notable blemishes or evidence of use. The finish is miles deep, with a luster and shine that only modern urethanes can truly provide. That sheetmetal was expertly finished (and yes it's all steel, with the hood, fenders, and running boards included) and is super smooth today, along with excellent gaps and panel alignment that can only come from long hours of tedious fitting and adjusting. Even though there are a few custom modifications like some shaved emblems and door handles, a smoothed custom tailgate, and integrated real roll pan with custom LED taillights, it still has that stand-up old school look that has always made these trucks so darn popular. The cab looks practically new, showing off drip rails that have probably never seen rain, and the slick bed has capped and smoothed rails up top and beautifully finished wood and chrome strips inside that make it look like a dance floor. You'll think twice before you throw any dirt back there, although it's still certainly capable of hauling, and if you look closer you'll see that the gas tank was relocated back there for safety purposes. The builder's wanted the slick paint to do most of the talking, so there's not a ton of chrome and brightwork left, although the front grille, bumper, and remaining trim on the hood are all is fantastic condition, providing just enough contrast to make that finish really pop. This Blue Oval Beauty is absolutely dialed-in.

The comfortable tan leather interior has a very modern feel, with a fit and finish that you just don't expect in most vintage trucks thanks to the expert job done by the pros at Mobile Toys Inc. The tall bucket seats and center console/armrest unit were swapped in from a late model, meaning that they're comfortable, supportive, and have built-in 3-point seat belts for added safety. Custom door panels were specially created to work with the seats and paint finish, plus the tan carpets on the floor mean things stay quiet and comfortable when you're on the road. And by now you've noticed that killer custom dash, cool right? Uniquely molded and tricked-out to combine the wrap-around feel of a late-model F-150 and the utilitarian layout of an F-1, it was beautifully upholstered and then filled with chrome and billet accessories. Inside that new dash there's a chrome bezel positioned directly ahead of the driver, and it's filled with modern retro-style gauges with soft cream-colored faces, along with a billet control panel and vents for the Vintage A/C unit. The A/C is filled with R134a refrigerant and blows hard and cold, and other modern conveniences inside the cab include a custom steering wheel atop a chrome tilt column, the B&M shifter inside the custom middle console, power windows and remote doors, and an overhead AM/FM/CD/USB stereo system. Up top the headliner is beautifully upholstered and smooth and there's acres of sound-deadening materials that line the cab and provide great noise and heat control.

Big power comes from a recently installed (only 867 miles on the clock!) fuel-injected 351 cubic inch Ford V8 crate motor. Upgraded with GT40 Iron heads from a 1993 SVT Lighting, a Fi-Tech electronic fuel-injection system, an MSD ignition, and block-hugging JBA headers, it has plenty of punch up and down the throttle. The engine bay is ultra-sanitary with plenty of chrome and polished aluminum components, exterior-matching red accents, and careful routing of the lines and hoses to keep them out of sight. The new suspension has been beefed-up with modern shocks, sway bar, coilovers, power front disc brakes and power steering, along with a Ford 8.8" Traction-Lock rear end out back. A Ford E4OD 4-speed automatic transmission swaps the gears and a custom Borla exhaust system gives it an awesome performance bark. Everything is highly detailed, shiny, polished, and painted to look its best, making this a truck that needs no excuses on the show field or out on the road. Right-sized American Racing Torque Thrust wheels fill those fat fenders using 245/40/17 blackwall performance radials.

Look at the details, the quality, and the components that went into this build and then think about how much time and effort it required to make it look this pretty. All that for less than $60,000? You need to call right now!
