HOW IS THE BODY RUST WISE? I see no rust bubbles in the paint, the frame is very solid, the body mounts look good, all the panels look original to me, it does look like some small places may have been patched in years past, I did spray a couple of cans of bed liner with rust inhibitor after the pictures. Its not for looks, just to coat some of the places that never had under coating. The under side is not beautiful, but solid with no problems that I see. I have not done a magnet check on the paint, but I see no bubbles or cracks, I'm sure it has a little filler, they all do.
HOW IS THE PAINT? Nice shiny black paint, it looks like base/clear to me. I see no dents or dings, I do see some minor touched up chips on the front edge of the hood. The body does look very straight down the sides. I consider this upper end nice driver paint, if you look with a critical eye inspection you may find a tiny defect, but its plenty good to enter your local show.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Nice Ivory interior, I see no bad wear and no holes. The head liner is nice, the seat covers good with a couple of tiny nicks, floor mats good, door panels good with minor waves at the bottom.
HOW IS THE GLASS? Good glass, no wiper marks on the windshield, the only thing I see is some minor bubbles on the edge of the back quarter windows.
HOW IS THE CHROME? Nice fluted bumpers, all the stainless on the sides is good, grill very good with two tiny drill holes on 1 edge of a bar, trunk bezel shines good with 4 or 5 pits, tail light bezels very good, door handles very nice.
UP GRADES/ADD ONS : Sun visor, dummy spot lights, roll pelted interior, headlight shades, dual exhaust, radial tires, I forgot to put the white fuzzy dice on the rear view mirror, they are in the dash.
HOW IS THE ENGINE? It starts good, its a 239 cubic inch flathead V8, I hear no knocks and see no blue smoke.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a 3 speed manual, it shift decent, I hear no bad grinds and hear no bad grinds. It was a over drive, but does not work now.
HOW IS THE EXHAUST SYSTEM? Dual exhaust with headers, the mufflers are the long welded one, they look like the old Smithys to me. They have the glass pack poppy sound, a lot of it.
HOW IS THE WHEELS AND TIRES? New radial tires with white side walls, they are mounted on painted steel rims with nice beauty rings and dish hubcaps.
