1976 Ford Country Squire Description:

1976 Country Squire Wagon up for auction here in Cookeville TN . This was purchased a few years ago in TN and had a bad motor. It appears it sat awhile in a garage. When purchased we could not get the 460 to run and found it had bent push rods. Our Customer ordered up a new Re-manufactured engine and we installed it. The carburetor was rebuilt and complete fuel system cleaned out. The brakes were replaced/ repaired, new tires were put on. It was driven maybe a total of 500 miles since. It runs and drives near excellent. The odometer shows 51509 and with the way the interior looks it very well could be original mileage, but we can notdocument that fact. The interior is near perfect for a car of this age. Everything works except A/C. We tried to repair but never got it to perform correctly. The plan was to install after market air. That never happened and the owners collection grew. The collection is fairly large and he decided to move out a couple and move towards muscle cars.The paint is a little faded but is straight. Of course the trim is not beat up but cover is coming off. I would of removed and just painted a wood grain on the aluminum trim. The rear bumper has some rust showing and I did see one small rust spot on body. It is a great old wagon and runs and drive nice. Finish it to make real sweet or enjoy has is. I will have a new battery put in after sale has the one in it is a little weak. I will supply fresh tank of fuel.
