This 1954 Ford is an awesome built with custom touches everywhere you look. The exterior has custom front fenders that almost hide the custom chrome headlights. They peek out just enough to be functional and give the front end a menacing look. The Billet Specialties aluminum wheels give this classic a modern look with wide tires in the rear and skinnies up front. The rear end has blue dot taillights and chrome dual exhaust tips beneath the “Popular” emblem. A powerful 409 stroker has been shoehorned into the engine compartment and is topped with aluminum heads, an air gap intake, a Quick Fuel Technologies 4-barrel carburetor with braided fuel lines, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor, Power Master Ultra Torque starter, full length polished headers running to dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers, Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fans and billet overflow and Mallory electric fuel pump. The engine block is painted a bright red and the alternator, pullies and brackets are all billet. To keep you firmly in control this street rod has rack and pinion steering, tubular upper and lower control arms and adjustable coil over shocks. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes provide more than enough stopping power for this little cruiser. The power is routed to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and then out back to a Ford 9” with a 4-link setup and adjustable coil overs. The inside is sporty and comfortable with Procar racing buckets finished in bright red and carbon fiber. Between them sits the B&M shifter that allows you to shift through the gears manually. Custom door panels and rear panel are done in black with red stitching that ties everything together nicely. The dash is polished and has Stewart Warner gauges installed. An Ididit polished tilt column makes getting in and out a lot easier and finishes off this show quality interior with a Grant GT steering wheel. The red roll cage provides added protection and looks great in bright red against the black headliner. Power windows have been installed and the windows are tinted to keep the interior cool at car shows. This is a Ford Popular which is the replacement for the prior year Anglia.
