This 1949 Ford F1 Pick-up had over 60k invested in the restoration costs. It was my late Uncles Farm truck which he personally owned cherished for many decades then decided late in his life to historically preserve and restore it that was completed prior to his passing at 93 years old as part of his legacy it was then left to me in his will. To preserve the historical significance the truck was restored to original specs as per his wishes. I have kept the truck in Climate Control Storage it is seldom driven but always maintained and started regularly. It has covered less then 300 miles since completion. The time and effort that went into this 1949 Ford F1 pick-up is evident throughout in the quality Restoration that was completed. Here are more details.

The Details;

The original Henry Ford Steel Cab is Arrow Straight the panel fit is up to Standard. Stripped to bare metal for an expensive mirror-glass Emerald Green Metallic Urethane Clear Coat Paint Finish. New rubber seals installed. There are 3 very minor chips no touch-up paint was ever applied. Other then that the exterior is perfect. The Stainless Trim, Emblems, Glass and Chrome are all excellent. This F1 Ford just looks so cool it draws attention wherever it goes. The wood bed was carefully fabricated as there were no kits available due to the rarity of this truck. The wheels are stock with factory Center Wheel Caps. The Tan Bench Seat interior is fully restored restored kept with all its period originality intact floors were correctly painted Emerald Green as are the interior doors and dash. The heater box and dash are simplistically beautiful. The frame & floors are fully restored to show standards. This is a Quality Restoration that is truly a rarity to see and drive.

The Mechanics;

The heart of this 49' Ford F1 is its rebuilt Flathead V-8 that runs like a charm it starts right up even after sitting in climate control storage for a month at a time. It runs silky smooth stays cool it can be driven anywhere. During the restoration the truck basically mechanically everything was replaced new or rebuilt front to back simply way too much to list you name it was done. It can be driven with confidence.
