Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that... I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1994 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking truck. It is finished in Dark Green over Tan, which is a good look for one of these trucks. The finish shines nicely and looks smooth all around. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find much worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Explorer. The worst I can say is that there is some rust visible on the rockers, which is pretty much a standard feature of any Explorer of this age. The body lines are all nice and straight. The hood, doors, and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the trim and moldings are present and show well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Firestone Destination's that look to be nearly new! Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this old Explorer came in. I would rate the interior of this Explorer to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. To be honest, the interior actually shows really well. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because it smells wierd. I put an air freshener in it. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The seats are clean, comfortable, and show virtually no wear. The headliner shows a few cuts, but is clean. The RR window does not work. The remaining power windows, locks, and mirrors all work. The previous owner removed his radio, but all the wiring and plugs look to be present and completely intact. The heater works well but the air conditioner will need charged or serviced as it does not blow cold air. The cargo area is spacious and clean, too. In addition to several keys and the original owner's books, this Explorer comes with a service manual, too. Again, please check out each of the photos to see how clean this Explorer came in. Mechanically, this Explorer appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older truck. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. The big V6 makes good power. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Despite being 25 years old, this Explorer drives like a dream. The only thing that I found that will need attention, mechanically, is the old factory autohubs. The 4WD appears to be working from the push button controls and I can hear the transfer case engaging...but the hubs will not engage. Most people upgrade these to more reliable Warn manual hubs. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Explorer is a fresh NEW FORD TRADE and has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of April, 2020. If you're looking for a rock solid old truck that you can actually work on, this old Explorer is just for you. Install your own radio, upgrade the autohubs to manual hubs, and you've got yourself one heck of a truck. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
