1992 Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible Summer Edition Feature Car

Here is my 1992 Mustang Convertible.It is a "Feature" car that Ford did at the time. Also called a "Summer Edition".This being the Red Exterior with White Top, White Interior and White wheels.
Due to Family Health issues I am in need of selling it.It has been an ongoing project for the last 8 years.Car is SUPER CLEAN, NEVER ANY RUST, PERIOD!!!I had the car refinished in a high quality finish.As most car guys know, Paint work is usually the most expensive part of a car project.Fortunately this car spent its life in the Southern part of the US and out of the salty roads that are here in the Northern states.This leads to the interesting part of this cars story.When the car was BRAND NEW, either from the Ford Factory or a Detroit Dealership, the car was stolen in 1992.Car was recovered 3 years later in Tennessee and then sold in Georgia.Since an insurance company paid out on a claim, car then being recovered, it has a Salvage Title.Most states have this policy. Its unfortunate but I guess understandable.This car was not smashed and re-constructed, just stolen and recovered.Previous owner did back his wife's SUV into the front bumper so he filed an insurance claim and collected but it was very minor.That being said I chose to do some modifications to the car that I thought kept the uniqueness of the Feature car but make the car more modern.
Car has had this done;High Quality Paint work.New 17 inch Cobra Wheels in White keeping to the "Summer Edition" Theme. Staggered set 245/45/ZR17 on 17X9 for the rears and 235/45/ZR17 on 17X8 on the fronts. (I Have original 16 inch white wheels you can have if desired)New Tires.New LED Lighting front and rear. Fronts are the one piece style.Tubular Trailing Arms.Frame Tie.Urethane front Bushings.New Shocks / Struts all 4 corners.New High Rev fly Wheel and matching weight Harmonic Balancer.New Aluminum Radiator.New Battery.New Rubber Seals with some installed and some still needing to be installed (see Pictures)New Cowell Cover.New side View mirrors, both sides.New Door Handles.New Power Steering PumpAs you can also see in the pictures, I have a Rear Disc Brake conversion kit that will come with the car and you can install if desired.
Engine has New Thrust and Main bearings.I noticed a little too much play in the crank thrust so we dropped the pan and installed these.Engine has great oil pressure and runs GREAT and uses no oil !!!!
Car does need a few things more;
Rest of Weather Strip kit installed.Rear Quarter windows are a little slow which is very common on Fox Body Convertibles and a Kit is available to rebuild them.Air conditioning needs charged.Cruise control does not work.Power mirror switch is a little funky and sticks so it needs a new switch.Needs a little more interior detail work. Seats are presentable and not tore up like many of these ended up but are not new looking. Seat were refinished as well. Quarter pillars covers need some attention.Has Headers with no CATs so Check Engine lights comes and goes but in no way affects the way the car runs.
My original intentions were to end up installing a full, nice looking cage/roll bar set-up and Super Charge the engine.Wanted to make it a real screamer!!!! Stiffen the car up so handling would be improved.VERY NICE CAR to tweak any way you want.To this point I have over $10K invested in the car.
I Wanted to finish the car and enjoy it but sometimes life sends you in a different direction.PLEASE, do not bid if funding of purchase is an issue.I am starting the auction at $100 and no reserve because I need to sell the car and find a new home for it. I will need to use the funds to keep the medicals bill from choking me so please only bid what is in the budget. Thanks in advance.
Remember this is a running and driving car but still a little bit of a further project. It can be enjoyed the way it is or finish it the way you want.I do keep the car in a nice garage and will keep insurance on the car till the title changes hands.New owner will be responsible for shipping if the car can not be picked up in person. I can deliver car to shipping pickup location within 20 miles if needed.Funds for balance after PayPal Deposit will need to be paid in cash or bank to bank wire transfer.
