1959 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner Convertible

1959 Ford Galaxie Description:

This beautiful 1959 Galaxie Sunliner is finished in Colonial White, and has its original white convertible top. The interior is also all original, in the tri-tone combination of white and two shades of green. Even the carpeting is original. The car presently has about 22,100 miles, and the title shows "actual mileage”.

This car is in excellent condition throughout, and appears to have been garaged all its life. We acquired it in Florida, and we can find no signs of rust on the car, and no indication of any prior rust repair. The undercarriage is clean, and appears to have been undercoated when the car was new.

The car is equipped with the three-speed manual transmission and the optional Overdrive, mated to Ford's famous "Mileage Maker" six-cylinder engine (3.7 litres, or 223 cubic inches, rated at 145 horsepower). While the original owner may have wished to save gasoline, he did not skimp on options. The optional equipment includes:

·Power steering

·Power brakes

·Dual outside mirrors

·Deluxe wheel covers with the red, white and blue Sun Ray emblems in the center

·AM push-button radio with the antenna mounted on the rear deck lid

·Chrome fender skirts

·Chrome rocker panel moldings

The power top works just as it should, and so do all the other accessories (with the exception of the clock). The trunk still has its original lining. The convertible top boot is present, along with a spare tire with the correct type whitewall that matches the four tires on the car.

This Sunliner is a true pleasure to drive. It has always started up easily, even after several weeks of sitting. It is very unusual to find a convertible of this vintage in such excellent original condition. We think the next owner will be very pleased.
