I have to admit I'm not a Ford guy. Rather I'm a "retired" GM & Mopar guy. BUT.. I had a 67 Corvette I wanted to sell so I traded this Mustang "GT" for it. I also have to admit, this car looks and runs like a real champ! I drove it 1,100 miles from Florida to Ohio just a few weeks ago without an issue. 80 MPH & used 1 quart of oil. I took it to a friend that knows much more than me about Mustangs. He says:It looks like a very well kept 65 Mustang "GT" that most likely always spent it's life in a rust free area. Very clean inside, outside & underside. Options are AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (correct numbers), POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES (new master cylinder), FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING (blows cold air), PONY INTERIOR (very good condition), FACTORY GAGE PACKAGE (includes 140 MPH speedometer) NUMBERS MATCHING 289 HIGH OUTPUT engine with 4 barrel carburetor (note gold valve covers & air cleaner). Although the paint isn't original the VIN plate shows it's original color was the same yellow as it is now. The interior is in excellent shape and believed to be original. Mileage shown on the speedometer is also believed to be original & correct. It sits on a new set of radial tires, new battery & new master cylinder. Words can't explain how nice it drives whether you're cruising around town or traveling the interstate. Is it a "10" on a scale of 1 - 10? No. Is it a car you can take to your local car show and be proud to display? Absolutely! Is it a car that grabs everyone's attention? Absolutely! Is it a car that's easy to drive and filled with fun to do so? Yes, it is!Now, what's it worth? As I said I'm not a Ford guy. I traded it in only because I wanted to sell my 67 Corvette.
