This Ford is powered by the Original Rebuilt 292ci engine, paired with a 4-speed Automatic transmission.There are only 2,600 miles on the restoration, total mileage on the odometer is 11,964 Miles. This beauty is shown in Raven Black, has been garage kept and is non-smoking.

1956 Thunderbird had a frame off restoration completed just 2 years ago. Comes with both soft & hard top.This car is a real gem with all the major work completed.

Steel Body

Motor / Compartment: The motor compartment has been restored to factory original appearance. The original 292 cubic inch engine has been rebuilt with approximately 2,600 miles of drive time on rebuild. Chrome air filter cover present and overall the motor is clean and original to car. The wiring and hoses were replaced during the restoration. The engine block shows normal signs of use from being driven. The entire engine compartment is in great condition although not restored for show quality appearance.

Chassis: The chassis is original. A frame off restoration was completed 2 years ago and the frame was acid washed and sprayed black. The paint is “Raven Black” and was ordered straight from the factory. The car was painted for driving purposes and not show quality. The tires are “Coker” with wide white walls. The wheel covers and suspension is in great condition. The chassis was under coated to prevent rust. This car contains the through the bumper exhaust system and is in great condition. The chrome bumpers are in good condition and the rear bumper houses the Continental tire kit. Overall, the entire chassis is in great shape and restored.

Interior: The interior of this Thunderbird appears has also been restored. The front glass has some minor scratches from the wiper blades but the remainder is in good shape. The dash, carpet and upholstery has all been replaced as has the door panels. The seats were recovered with factory vinyl appear like new. The hardtop contains the port hole window but needs restored. The steering wheel is new and free of cracks. The entire under dash wiring was replaced during restoration. Overall, the entire interior is in excellent condition.

Exterior: The exterior of this car was painted with factory original “Raven Black”. The paint is in excellent condition and is highly glossy, however it does show minor nicks and scratches from driving. The rear wheels include the Fender Skirts. All emblems and lenses are in excellent condition and the overall exterior is in excellent shape.

Seller’s Notes:

There is a small leak in the transmission that needs repaired. Just needs a new pan gasket. Hard top needs restored but most of the parts are included. Hard top stand also included.
