1951 FORD F1 "OLD SCHOOL" PICK UP TRUCK

1951 Ford F-100 Delux Description:

Up for sale is my 1951 Ford F1 Deluxe pick up truck. I got this about 3 months age that had been in storage after elderly owner 84 passed away. It was in need of some mechanical repair to get it up and running. I have finished the needed mechanical repairs and it is now a nice running / driving / stopping truck. It shifts smoothly and runs with no noises from motor or trans. It is a 226 ci flat head 6 cylinder org. motor. I replaced the cylinder head gasket and used all new studs and chrome acorn nuts. I rebuilt the carb. I had the fuel tank boiled out and sealed. I replaced a 4 wheel cylinders as well as all 4 wheel brake shoe sets. I replaced all the bushings to the shifter and clutch. Shifts very smoothly and stops nicely. the cab and bed are very rust free and I have insulated the floor / cab walls / and roof for sound deadening and heat. I also replaced all 4 shocks. There is a "Air Bag" system on the rear springs but not in the front. The front seat is the stock seat and the spring frame is in nice shape but will need re-stuffing and covering or replace it with a bench seat form something like a Chevy S10 or buckets !So my Dr. says I should not do this kind of work anymore (heart cond.) so that is the reason for selling. The truck still needs some work and some parts. It needs a windshield and a driver side door glass. The lower part of the front fenders need some work, Driver side is patched but needs to be smoothed out. Pass. side needs the patch installed. It seems that the elderly owner just painted over some imperfections but it looks good at 20 feet. It was painted with Ferrari Black. The wheels I think are powder coated and the rear are a deeper wider rim. Tires are like new and have great thread.
