1965 Ford F100 short bed

1965 Ford F-100 Description:

1965 Ford F100 short bed. Lowered. 5.0L out of an 86 or 87 truck. Fuel injected, NOT HO. Speed density. Automatic transmission from the same. Unknown miles on the swap, as I did not do the swap. It's probably a lot.
Things I have done. Prior owner(s) gutted the electrical system. I have re-wiired the lights, so all exterior lights work. There is no heat and there are no windshield wipers. I also installed a Dakota Digital gauge package ($800). All of the new gauges work. New higher output alternator ($120) I rebuilt the rear brakes (drum). It has discs on the front from previous owner. Still has manual brakes. I replaced the radiator and installed electric fans ($400). New plugs and plug wires. Fixed exhaust leaks, it may still have one. Prior owner had gas tank in bed of the truck. I installed a new tank for a 60s era Mustang under the rear of the bed. You can see the fill nozzle in the bed picture. Also upgraded the pump and sending unit. Walbro 190 lph, I believe ( I need to check my receipt) ($450). New oil pan, oil pump and pickup. Lokar floor shift (moved from column) ($250). New steering wheel. New tires and wheels, old school ($650). Nothing fancy. I put a lap belt in it. It had no seat belts when I bought it. Lots of other little things. Receipts for all parts.
She runs and drives great. It's geared a little too low, so you want to make sure for neighborhood cruising you don't let it shift into overdrive. On the highway, its good. 70 mph at just under 2000 rpm. The speed density sometimes acts weird. I've adjusted it and it will run great. A week later it might not idle like it was. Should update to mass air or a carb.
It will never (or will require a lot of work) to be a show truck. There is rust and repairs. But, for cruising (its NOT fast), or going to the local cruise in, it gets lots of looks. Good shop truck.
