1923 Ford Model T Description:

Super cool late 60's early 70's California T bucket project!! The original owner's nephew said that it was built in the late 60's by Freddy Courtney (Freddy's Speed Shop in Apple Valley, California); Freddy built and raced similar T's, but never finished this one.Original steel Model T roadster body, with a shortened A or T pickup bed that is welded to the back and again - superior workmanship! Passenger door opens & latches ok; no floor pans installed yet. Main frame rails appear to be Model A and the welding / boxing work is excellent. Rear end is '55 Chevy with a Model A spring and shortened '35 - '36 rear radius rods. Front axle is a V-8 60 with custom fabricated "hair pins". Spring perches are the front portions of '35 - '36 wishbones turned around to put the spring behind the axle just like Norm Grabowski did! The front spring has tapered ends like an old Hollywood Spring Company part; spindles are turned down "round backs". Steering box looks like a Ross part, with a T column and steering wheel. Has a GM dual master cylinder' with clutch & brake pedals. Drag link & tie rods are there and even the brake lines have been run! All in all, a well designed and well built chassis! Wheels and tires are PURE 60's BAD ASS! Rear wheels are 15X10 magnesium 5 spokes with 9.00-15 M&H Racemaster slicks. Front wheels are magnesium American Racing 12 spoke spindle mounts with skinny 125-15 Pirelli tires; the tires are 50 years old, but - have never been run! Mechanical details:* 350" .010 over short block from a 1972 Corvette; heads are GM low compression iron that should be just right for a blower application. Ran strong before I pulled it from the 'vette - it's in good condition, but the head & pan gaskets should be freshened up.* Cosworth Vega 5 speed transmission; set up for a hydraulic clutch (bellhousing is empty & will need flywheel, pressure plate & hydraulic throw out bearing)* Weiand 6-71 blower clearanced for pump gas street use* Heavy wall high quality Graffiti Coupe style headers* New unused wheelie bars bolt on & are easily removedThe T still needs some minor fabrication & some new owner decisions like - an original (modified) brass T radiator, the Model A shell pictured or a steel (reproduction) '32 shell that are ALL included! I was planning on a rear mount radiator & a shell with a clear insert to show off the blower drive, but ? In any case, cooling, fuel system and floor pan fitting are the big "things" before it's time to chrome, paint, powder coat everything and re-assemble one unique bitchin' T bucket! Bill of Sale only
