1966 Ford F-250 F-250 Custom Cab camper Special Description:

This F-250 was built in the San Jose plant and I have owned it for the last 7 years. Everything is manual, the transmission, the brakes, choke and steering, the truck is almost the same as it was when built. The rubber is good and the truck starts and runs well, though the throwout bearing is starting to occasionally make noise-the good news a new clutch doesn't cost much and is easy to change on this truck. The floor mat is the original rubber and its cracking, good reproduction ones are $120 and easy to install. The horn doesn't work and neither do the windshield squirters, other than that everything works as far as I know. Its missing one hubcap and the dash top is getting cracked from the sun, it was recovered once and can be again fairly easily. For the last couple of years I have just drove it on the ranch and it has been registered non-op, its $139 annually to register it in CA. The heater core, starter, starter relay, and battery are new. The doors and hood shut nicely and it has the original owners manual. This is the camper special with heavy duty springs, it will haul an impressive load. I repainted the blue and the roof plus a few small spots, the paint looks good but is not show quality, it could use some buffing and polishing on the blue. I get compliments every time I drive this truck, it gets more attention than some Porsches I have owned.
