1940 Ford pickup truck, this was a farm and drive to work truck with work done over the years to keep it running, original flat head engine was replaced in 1960 with a 1957 Chevrolet 283 four barrel engine, the 3 speed transmission and the 378 rear end are the original 1940 Ford units, the firewall of the truck is original with no cuts, you could install a Ford flat head engine back into the truck, seat has been replaced, 12 volt electric, electric fuel pump, battery box moved to the bed, electric radiator cooling fan with a manual switch, 1939 deluxe Ford grill, model A Ford rear bumper, over the last year more work has been done to improve the truck, new original brake system, new king pins, body is in above average condition for a 78 year old truck, body is in black primer now with rare Lyon Blue as original body color, original metal bed floor with damage as pictures show, original cab floors with some pin holes on passenger side as pictures show, windows roll up and down, driver's door has some rust in bottom as pictures show, wipers are not hooked up, only oil and battery gauge work, true miles unknown, truck starts, stops, runs and drives, good truck to start with for whatever purpose the new owner wants to do with it, I have the original owner's manual, Kentucky title, I drove this truck about 20 miles the day I took the pictures, payment will be wire transfer of funds to my bank within 3 days after the auction ends or cash when picked up, I will store the truck for no more than 14 days after the auction ends, if you have questions not covered in the description send them to me.
