1970 Mach-1 351C 4-Speed Shaker Hood Mustang with Marti Report

351C ENGINE

1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Description:

Update - The previous winning bidder from Australia is now trying to negotiate outside of Ebay. I do not know if his comments about the engine being a 71-73 2V are true or are a ploy to get a lower price outside of Ebay. If you message me I will make all the messages viewable in the listing so everyone can see what is said. This way everyone can have all the information and make decisions to bid or not bid.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES ONLY AND NOTHING ELSE.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE IT IN THE PICTURES I DO NOT HAVE IT AND IT IS NOT INCLUDED.

I looked up a reproduction 1970 Mach-1 body and it looks like the going price is between $14K -$17.5 (see picture of screenshot of 1970 body cost.) for just the shell and without the factory pedigree.

All the information below is to the best of my knowledge shared with me by the previous owner. Please do your own due diligence and ask question before bidding.I will help and provide any information I can to help with the due diligence.

The main body is straight and has no filler that I can find. The car has anew front clip, front suspension, floor pan, shaker hood (No Shaker), newly rebuilt engine with new in box parts, oil pump, oil pan, intake, valve covers, these you can see in the boxes under the engine. Original interior seats (only what you see in the pictures, no other items.). This is a great start to a project, see MARTI Report in pictures for details of what the car was when it left the factory; Again I suggest buyer does their own due diligence, I will help and provide any information I can to help with this. The engine rebuild was right at $4,800.00. The floor pan and front clip work was approx. $7,500.00.

I didn't think I had to go into the details of how I ended up with this car, but it seemed important to the previous winning bidder only after we won the auction. So for complete transparency this is how I became the owner of the car.

A friend was down on his luck and I helped him by purchasing this car and then paying the money he owed at the shops where he had work being done. I negotiated the lowest price I could by paying cash to both the auto body place and engine builder to clear his debt. I do not have receipts for this work as a condition of the cash payment. I thought I would send the car to Kindigit Designs to make the car of my dreams. After contacting them and discovering they have a 7 year waiting list and you need to pay $175K up front to secure your spot on the list and then weight 7 years before the 2 year project gets started. I have decided to move on to something else. I didn't care that the car was not complete because of what I was going to do with the car all this would be changed anyway, I didn't need all those parts or really the engine either. Only when I decided to sell the car people said, I should run a Marti report so people interested can see what the car came with from the factory.

The previous winning bidder that didn't complete the transaction said to me the heads on the engine are 2V heads and the engine is a 71-73. I do not know if he is correct The main body is straight and has no filler that I can find. The car has anew front clip, front suspension, floor pan, shaker hood (No Shaker), newly rebuilt engine with new in box parts, oil pump, oil pan, intake, valve covers, these you can see in the boxes under the engine. I will help prepare the car to be shipped or help load the car for transport. It will need to be picked up from my home, pick up and payment arrangements must be made within 48 hours.

I reserve the right to cancel this listing at anytime for the car is for sale locally as well.
