1968 Ford Torino GT Description:

Selling my 1968 Ford Torino Fastback GT restoration project. Over $25k invested at this point, but changes in my current situation, including a relocation, have forced me to sell the car. I've set an Extremely Low Reserve, but please don't ask me what it is. Just bid with the confidence that if you're a serious bidder you're going to get a phenomenal deal. I just want someone to finish what I've started. The color combo is Acapulco Blue Metallic exterior with White Parchment interior with factory Bucket Seats, Center Console. Includes factory Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, (Disc in front), and A/C. This is going to be a beautiful car when it's finished, and there's not a whole lot left to do.
Here's what's done so far:
- The entire Chassis and underside of the body shell is completely rebuilt and restored- ALL Suspension is Brand New- ALL Brakes, Stainless Steel Brake Lines & Fuel Lines, Gas Tank, Driveshaft, Power Steering Rack, Wheels, & Tires ALL Brand New- Original Factory Posi 9" Rear Locker Axle, Rebuilt with Brand New Nascar Moser 366 Gears and 31 Spline Axles, Restored, & Installed- Original #'s matching C6 Automatic Transmission is Rebuilt including a B&M Shift Kit, Restored & Installed- Original #'s matching 390 4 barrel Motor completely Rebuilt, Restored, & Installed- Dash Gauges are all rebuilt, restored, and installed- Dash Pad is original and in perfect condition- Car is completely wired with the factory harness from front to back- Car RUNS & DRIVES! The motor runs awesome! - Bumpers and Trim have all been Re-Chromed, and are still in the wrapper ready to go- Stainless Trim is complete, and ready to install, (the car comes with multiple spares of all trim pieces)- Original grill and trim is complete and in perfect condition- All Weatherstripping is in the parts bin and included with the car- Brand New Power Window Motors, All Window Hardware has been restored and is ready to install- Brand New Rotary A/C Compressor, Condenser and all Hoses for installation- Brand New Steering Wheel in the box- Brand New Custom Auto Sound 'Vintage' style Stereo, still in the box- Factory NOS Jack kit, still in the box- Interior Dash and Steering Column are finished painted the correct eggshell white- Cowl is finished painted the correct Acapulco Blue Metallic- All Factory Tinted Side and Rear Glass is in perfect condition and included, (needs the windshield replaced).
Here's what is left to complete the car:
- Body Shell is rust free, and has been body worked and block sanded twice. It just needs to be block sanded 2 or 3 more times, (depending on your preference), and it is ready for final paint- Doors were pre-fitted and then sandblasted. They need very minor rust repair on the bottom inside corner area, (see pics), otherwise they are rust and dent free- Fenders were pre-fitted and then sandblasted and e-coated. They have very minor rust in the corners, otherwise they are rust and dent free- Hood is near perfect and has been blasted and e-coated. It just has some minor pitting around the holes where the F-O-R-D letters mount. Comes with the Scoop shown. This hood didn't come with this style scoop originally so some modification will be required if you decide to use this scoop- Trunk Lid is very nice, and has also been pre-fit, then blasted and e-coated. Needs minor rust repair on underside edge- Doors, Fenders, Hood, and Trunk Lid are ready for final body work, and paint- Original Interior is complete and included but needs to be redone. Dearborne Classics sells a correct, complete White Parchment interior kit for the 68 GT Fastback w/ Buckets for $1700. Includes basically everything you will need, Seat Covers, Headliner, Door Panels, Side Panels, Carpet, etc- Original Center Console is included with the car. It has a few cracks that could be repaired
