1977 Ford F-250 Custom Description:

The time has come to finally sell Grandpas truck. This is a true survivor that has always been cared for an garaged since Grandpa bought it new in 1977. 1977 Ford F250 4wd single cab long bed with absolutely ZERO rust. Factory Ford 4" lift that was installed by the dealer in 1978. Truck was purchased in Northern California and has always lived its life in the Central Valley (Sacramento). Truck is sitting on 36" Titan Hawk off-road mud tires on 16.5 x 12.5 wide chrome wagon style rims. Dana 44 front axle and Dana 60 rear axle. Power steering, power brakes, factory a/c. Factory 400 c.i. engine backed behind factory c6 transmission and stock divorced transfer case. The truck has just over 108k original miles, and Grandpa had the engine and transmissionrebuilt just after it rolled over 100k miles. Transfer case was left alone because the truck has never seen mud a day in its life and rarely ever used in four wheel drive, and still in great shape. Truck has been sitting quite sometime on non op. I replaced the master cylinder and fuel pump, as well as had the carburetor rebuilt so it starts, stops, and drives but again has been sitting for many years so some things are still old from just sitting around collecting dust in the garage and should be gone through before made into a daily driver. Truck originally had linkage type power steering with a manual steering box. One of the reasons it was parked was because the steering box was worn out and the ram was leaking. Included is a factory power steering box and pitman arm to swap out the oldmanual box, linkage, and power assist. Power steering pump is still intact on the engine so it will make for an easy swap. There are many other new updated conversions to replace the weak and leaky original linkage type steering if that is preferred compared to the factory power steering box that is included. Another reason it was parked is due to the smog equipment being removed, as well as an aluminum edelbrock intake and Carter AFB (edelbrock) 625 cfm carburetor installed in the late 1980's. It would not pass visual inspection here in California. Included is all the smog equipmentfrom pump, bracket, to hoses to install if your state requires smog emission testing, however, we could not find the stock carburetor and intake manifold. Tailgate is straight and overall in good visual shape, however on the passengerside the seams are separatingand the tailgate sticks sometimes. Still opens and closes just requires more effort then originally designed. This is a true factory survivor "barn-find" truck that needs very minor love. The paint and interior is in exceptional condition for a 40 year old truck.Paint has chips and imperfections but nothing major, pictures do the talking. Has a nice patina you can be proud to drive around, but not be timid or worried to throw lumber or chains in bed and still use as intendedbeing a truck.
Truck is located in Northern California (Sacramento) 15 minutes from Sac International Airport. I am available to show the truck in person if you are local or have someone to preview for you. My number is 916-207-3964 and I am happy to take any calls to answer any questions you may have. Buyer will be responsible for shipping and a $500.00 deposit will be required at the end of auction.
