1960 Ford Thunderbird Description:

This beautifully restored and award winning 1960 Thunderbird is recently out of out long-term storage and ready for a new home.
Originally purchased new in Tillamook, Oregon by a woman who promptly had it repainted by the dealership in white per her request. It remained that way for most of its life until the second owner disassembled the car in preparation for a complete restoration. At that time the car was returned to its original single-tone Beachwood Brown Metallic where the project stalled.
The third owner purchased the car around 2000 continuing the project where things had left off and returning the car show like-new condition. He completed the exacting and authentic ground-up restoration over a two year period using largely original and New Old Stock (NOS) parts. It retains its original but rebuilt 430 cubic inch V-8 engine and automatic transmission. Options include factory-installed air-conditioning, power seats, and electric windows. It features a very nicely trimmedcorrect interior finished in parchment leather over dark beige. The drivetrain and suspension were also thoroughly gonethrough and properly servicedincluding new coil springs and bushings.

Shown at several regional events, it has brought home Best of Show at the Forest Grove Concours in 2001. In 2002, it was entered in the Vintage Thunderbird Club International Costa Mesa Meet where it won a 1st place award and Senior Status.

Its fourth and current owner continued to show the car. At the 2005 Vintage Thunderbird Club International, International Meet in Portland, Oregon it once again achieved a first place award and maintained it's Senior Status.

Since its thorough and complete restoration was finished, it has seen careful and occasional use. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, the car has seen limited use since 2012. It's recently been returned to the road, received a new battery, and has been freshly detailed.The car is a well-sorted and beautiful example ready to be driven and enjoyed.The 430 runs smooth and the car drives and performs well.
