1971 Ford Bronco SPORT Description:

1971 Sport FORD BroncoOriginal San Jose, California truckFactory color code 'M' truck - Wimbledon White
- 302 V8 / runs smooth and strong
- 3 speed automatic / shifts nicely- power steering- power brakes- dual exhaust- no cancerous rust at all- doors open and close nicely- original dealer license plate frame 'San Jose Capitol Ford' along with original cardboard plate under the original California plates which reads; 'Capitol Ford of Almaden',
thought that was kind of cool to still be there after all these years and in pretty decent condition.
Pitfalls:
- some dings on body- paint is older and flaking in some spots
- hardtop has dry cracky paint with a handful of ripples on top- one decent size scratch dent on lower passenger front fender- minor scratches on overall body- drives nice / straight but trac-bar could use new bushings- key ignition is getting worn out / intermittent - needs replacing
- rear brake on one side making a rotational squeak, could be e-brake spring or a loose sprung brake shoe?
The front floors visually appear bad but they are not at all, they have black carpet-backing residue and liner stuck to them but are still solid nice original floors.
Some areas of the floors do have very minor surface rust, but no cancerous rust at all.
The rear cargo wheel well areas are free of rust. The rear wheel well seams and joint lines appear to have rust but they just have a lite fill of dirt/grime lining the areas along with some of flaky paint on floors & tailgate.
The hardtop is uniform and works fine but is probably the Bronco's only downfall.
The hardtop was mostly kept off the Bronco and stored on blocks by previous owner. During storage the hardtop got beat up by the sun and at one point slid off the storage blocks and bent one of the sides. The side straightened out, was installed and for the most part looks fine and is uniform. To be perfect again tho, the hard top could use some fab work and TLC. As you can in the pics the hardtop is not that bad but wanted to at least mention this.
The two front doors open and close very nicely. Door hinges and latches all work great. The tailgate is rust free with scratches on the inside and open and closes nicely.
No cancerous rust on floors, door jambs, tailgate, inner fenders, rockers, striker posts, cowl or windshield frame, all of these areas are pretty common to get rust but none on this Bronco. I have photos of all these areas and can send them upon your request.
The Bronco was used on fire roads and back country trails as a hunting rig most all of its life so its only elements to battle were the dry dusty roads. I would say it is 98.9% rust free.
I'm the second owner and selling it to clear a bunch of space. Had plans for this one but time to let it go.
Please ask any questions and or request any photos and I will do my best to answer.
I am also open to assist with transport pick up times and or pick up location if needed to be delivered nearby for pick up.
The Bronco is looking for a good home, someone possibly to restore it or just fix a few things and enjoy that 1971 patina.

getting a decent amount of requests on shipping and 'buy it now' along with a few on the paint???
- As for the paint on the Bronco it is not the original paint, according to the original owner it was repainted once back in the mid to late 80's as close to color code M as possible.- As for shipping, I am willing to assist with transport and meet time as well as hold the Bronco for a couple of weeks after it ends but would like to ship it soon after end of auction to free up some space.- As for 'buy it now' I am in too deep with emails and requests and would just feel bad to take it away from one of you to give to another, I wish I had 14 of these to supply all the requests, so with that said, we plan to let nature take its course here on eBay and let the auction run its course, sorry to all of you.
