I have not noticed any current rust issues (but I imagine if there were any, they were resolved when it was painted years ago by a previous owner.) Overall the Chrome and Stainless looks great, however the are some spots where the trim shows some dings (not very noticeable, but if you look, it's there)
Not perfect, but very nice!
(I really don't want to sell, but I brought another one home.....and the wife says rules are rules)
