Ever heard of the Cannonball Run? Well this car just finished one. It raced from the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan to the Portofino Hotel & Marina in 38 hours 32 minutes. Its owner, the organizer of the event called the C2C Express, donated the car to the Cannonball Memorial Run. The CMR is a 501(c)(3) charity that provides immediate financial relief to the families of fallen officers and every dollar you pay (minus PayPal's fee) for this crazy taxi will end up being given to a family member whose spouse makes the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This car has been extensively gone through mechanically and is road trip ready but is obviously sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty implied. Odometer shows 140K but has been replaced so its TMU. We're guessing it is around 300k. On Sep-28-18 at 14:00:55 PDT, seller added the following information:Further disclosure: The car will need rear tires soon and likely some coil springs. It runs well but wont pass California smog because removed most of the emissions equipment due to rust. Overdrive slips below 45 mph but is fine above that. The yellow paint was applied a few days before the run and is as you might expect from a driveway repaint. The car comes with a newer radio cd player and a brand new Cobra CB. It was super-reliable on the run but obviously will require some ongoing TLC.
