1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Description:

Mechanically restored 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Hardtop Convertible!
Recently rescued from a 20 year slumber in an airplane hanger this car is in fantastic shape. The paint is in excellent shape for being 40 plus years old, recovered Seats and original carpet. After we got all the dust off her we went through the car from front to back, Engine pulled and inspected, all gaskets replaced and then repainted block etc, new waterpump, belts, rebuilt generator, fresh tune and valve adjust. then we rebuilt the transmission and rear end with all new bearing and seals, replaced all the leaf spring bushing, shocks and suspension got rebuilt/replaced as well. New brakes all the way around and she stops on a dime. We then went through all the working operations of the top and it operates without a single hiccup.
The chrome work does show some patina, but all in all this car is in better than "driver" condition.The Continental kit adding a little flair and new interior she cruises down the road like a brand new car.
