Up for auction is a beautifully restored 1971 Mustang Mach 1 from my personal collection. The car was purchased approximately 6 years ago following a time consuming and expensive restoration as part of a father/son project. Unfortunately for the father, the son preferred a Jeep Unlimited for his 16th birthday and not this awesome muscle car!

The car has been restored and rebuilt to original factory colors and specifications. The Marti Report and Build Sheet found under the rear seat confirm this car to bea Dark Green Metallic paint with Green Clarion Knit/Corinthian vinyl seats. Other options include C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic, Power steering and brakes, Ram Air, Rear Deck Spoiler, Magnum 500 Chrome Wheels, and Air Conditioning (note: someA/C components are missing).

The exterior restoration is top notch, even after 6 years. All rusted and/or damaged body panels replaced with new steel. Most of silver striping is painted as opposed to decals. Numerous coats of clearcoat, sanding, and buffing. The paint finish is mirror-like and you will be hard pressed to find any blemishes. The previous owner was a constant visitor to the restoration shop.

Repair/restoration receipts show the engine was rebuilt early in the process on 2/14/07. Transmission was serviced 6/10/09. Engine bay was restored on 4/22/11. Numerous other receipts included in binder documenting repaired and/or replaced parts.

Starts and drives perfectly. Idles correctly, transmission shifts smoothly. No smoke, leaks, etc. Handles very well. No worn components. New Magnum 500 chrome wheels and tires were purchased new during restoration. Tires have 90% tread left, brakes feel great. All lights, horn, mechanicals in good working order. Less than 2,500 miles since restoration and car has been garage kept since that time. In short, this looks, drives, and feels like a new car.

Interior looks very presentable. New carpet, headliner -- it is possible that seats are original but still very nice. Trunk is nicely restored. Factory original 8-track player. Previous owner installed a remote controlled modern stereo under dash with rear speakers in window tray (but not in doors).
