1978 Ford LTD Description:

Up for auction is my late father's 1978 LTD 4 Door Sedan with 12,591 original miles. It is equipped with a 351-2V Windsor and automatic transmission. The vehicle has air conditioning, cruise control, power steering, power brakes, and AM/FM stereo radio. The interior (as can be seen in the pictures) is all original and appears to be in outstanding condition. There are no cracks in the dashpad or tears in the headliner.
The exterior of the vehicle is black with a black vinyl top. I cannot find any rust bubbles under the vinyl top. but there are some flaws with the top. There are two cuts above the drivers door that had at one time been repaired and there is one small area below the center of the rear window that will need to be re-glued (please see pictures). The body is in fair condition with the original factory black paint. The paint is beginning to fade and becoming thin in various areas across the vehicle.
Exterior problem areas:
1. Some rust is beginning to appear on the lower portion of the right front and rear passenger doors.2. The right rear quarter panel appears to have been repaired at some time in the past.3. Rocker molding on driver's side below the doors is dented.4. There is a tiny amount of rust beginning to appear on the lower driver's front and rear door.5. The floor boards, rocker panels, and trunk floor are solid.
The car has been in storage for the past 10 years and the following items will need to be addressed:
1. It will need a tail pipe.2. There is a small hole in the exhaust pipe in front of where the muffler mounts to the exhaust pipe.3. The clutch is bad on the A/C compressor (R12), so the belt was removed.4. It will need windshield wiper blades.5. Note that the tires have good tread, but they are old. At least 15+ years old.
Currently the car is running strong, the transmission is shifting smoothly, and the brakes are functioning properly. NOTE: As with any old vehicle anything could go wrong at any time, but currently the vehicle is running great and drives like a luxury vehicle on the highway. The vehicle also comes with the original owners manual.

The buyer is responsible for shipping and transport. The high bidder can make additional arrangements with seller if both agree. Full payment is required within 10 days of auction's close. Cash or Cashiers Check/Money Order will only be accepted. Please note title and vehicle will be held until method of payment clears the bank. As mentioned earlier please ask all your questions prior to bidding. Any questions will be answered honestly, because I do not want anyone to be dissatisfied.
