1986 Ford Bronco XLT Description:

1986 Ford Bronco XLT. Has 4x4 with lockouts which work fine. Has the durable 4.9 "300" straight 6 cylinder with a C6 auto trans. Dana 44 front and 9" rearend with 3.50 gears. It runs pretty good, it was tuned up including a new carb last fall..I drove it last winter and it starts right up in the bitter cold and has a great heater. It drives really nice for what it is but could use new shocks on the back and rear brake drums to make it better. It leaks a little oil or power steering fluid or something and the tires are old but I can rely on this thing..I drove it last winter 65 miles a day and got 14 mpg average which seemed decent. It has very nice interior with an Alpine stereo which isn't the best but it works. The body is rusty in many areas below the trim line..the frame and underneath are a little scaley but are very decent. It has a hitch and the trailer lights work. Everything works except the cruise control, AC, rear window, and the gas gauge..which works enough to tell there is gas but its not quite right. Basically its a cool old truck that might be worth restoring because the interior is so decent. The original spare tire has never been out. If you were to restore it you would need some patches on the quarters and fenders but probably would want a better hood because it has hail dents on it and maybe a better tailgate..the window isn't working and its back door is rusty inside. I took the top off once and had to pull the window down from the inside and now it is pushed back up in there. Driver window channel weather strip is missing a little piece..the power steering pump pulley rattles a little at times but works great..the alternator sqeaks sometimes when you start it..little stupid stuff no one tells you but I'm just being honest about what is going on with it.
