1965 Ford Mustang Description:

For sale is a 1965 Ford Mustang fastback!!! This car is listed with NO RESERVE, the high bidder will winthis Mustang when the auction is over!!! This Mustang has a 289 V8, 4barrel carb, dual exhaustswith a T5 manual transmission!

I purchased this car three years ago. My plan was to keep it forever, but times change and I am putting it up for sell with NO RESERVE! When I purchased the car it had not been driven/inspected in Pennsylvaniafor 14 years.Sadly, since I have owned it (3 years) I have never had it on the street or inspected either.It is time for someone else to buy it and drive it!

This car does, start (sounds great!) stop, and move, but it can not be driven at this time.It has been sitting since 2001, 17 years, it really should been gone over for safety and given a tune up.Even though the tires hold air they do have dry rot and the front ones tread is bald due to probably needingan alignment.

Please look at the pictures closely.This car is not perfect, it is 53years old! It has dings, nicks, and scratches.Per the previous owner the fiberglass hood was damaged when hisgrandson took itto the prom and forgot to put the hood pins back on after showing off the motor.

The interior is pretty clean. A rollbar was added prior to the last owner, you can see in the pictures that it continues through to the rear trunk area.

Hello everyone and thank you for your interest in the Mustang! I have been fielding a lot of questions and felt that I could clear some of them up with an additional post in the description:

This is not original paint, it appears to have been red prior to the black and I believe a green color originally. I believe that the front fenders are not original too. The windows go up and down but the passenger window does need a little guidance when winding it back up. I am sure that bondo/body filler was used on this car at some point, not by me. When I purchased the car it was not running, as it did not havea battery or carburetor. Ipurchased a new battery and new Edelbrock Carb and it started rightup. I did not adjust the carb in anyway, out of the box and on the motor the carb went. It runs rich and willneed adjusted.Also, the T5 was installed but the original crossbar/transmission mountwas usedas a support. I did purchase the correct cross member and mountand installed it.The fiberglass hood is damaged, please look at the pictures.Thefront of the hood isheld on by hood pins but the rearof the hood isnot. Again, please look at all the picturesand if you need any specific picture please let me know.The chrome does have pitting (bumpers), some of the chrome on the cragar wheelsis peeling too. Yes, it has a"roll bar" but I consider it more cosmetic, don't think it is track worthy! The radiois not original and I have no idea if it works becausethe car has no speakers. NO AC, does have wing windows though.Finally, this is still a 53 year old car with dings, nicks, scratches, etcbut it is a really cool 65 fastback!
