1927 ford model t touring
1927 Ford Model T Touring Description:
1927 Ford Model T Touring.
This is all original with no signs of rust. It looks to be original paint. I have owned this car since the
early 90’s with the thought of restoring it. The family that owned it before me had the same intentions.
The father owner it and passed it to his son. They stored it in a garage the whole time they owned it and
I have done the same thing. They were from Overton NV. I am pretty sure they owned it from the early
40’s.
It is a 6-volt system and I have purchased a battery a couple times and have started it and driven it to
take the grandkids and friends for rides. It always starts very easily. I have always drained the gas after
use and stored it empty. I have not actually started it recently but it does turn over and I’m sure will
start with a battery and fuel. I know most people that restore them convert them to a 12 volt. For this
reason I have not purchased a battery and started it.
I have taken pictures of all sides. It is complete with all the parts. I can seen no signs of deterioration.
The drive system seems to be okay the gears look good but I’m not an expert so I may not know what to
look for. They do look good. The belt looks old and weathered as do the tires. The tires do hold air.
It does have 2 of the up-grades available at the time. One being the speedometer and the other the
bigger head lights. Again I have been told these things and have not researched it to know.
I hope this information is helpful and please email with any addition questions. The car is in Salt Lake
City if you care to see it in person.
