This is a 1987 built Custom Naval Ambulance. F350 Dually with 4 wheel drive!! ONE OF A KIND!!!! The Navy built it, and never used it. Housed it all it's life, and sold it with under 3000 original miles to a Fire Department in Missouri. The fire department couldnt keep it running....they never dropped the tanks. Tank one was completely shot, and was circulating a large amount of sludge build up. Once I dropped the tanks, added a after market exterior fuel pump, to feed to the manual pump; it has had no fuel issues. Just small leaks. (It is currently missing tank one).This unit has seriously been sitting inside since 1987 until this last year!! IT IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION!!!
This unit has the 6.9L idi engine.3 speed automatic, C6 transmission.Dual rear wheels.4 wheel drive.Everything works as it should! The motor is sound, transmission shifts correctly, and the 4 wheel drive has the manual hub locking system.Factory A/C. Heat and A/C in back cab. Exterior has a jack for a generator to plug into (220), which supplies the interior with a 110 conversion.Florescent lighting in the back cab, along with exhaust fan and fresh air intake fan.Rear work light.Siren works.Light on top works.Manual wimdows and locks.Leather captins chairs in front cab.
This ambualnce is nostalgic, unique and a real head turner. It would be great for mobile advertising, a company delivery truck, contractors unit...or a sweet toy hauler/overland camper.
