1964 Ford Ranchero FACTORY V8 STRAIGHT BODY RUNS PERFECT Description:

I WILL POST MORE PHOTOS AND MORE INFO TOMORROW SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE
SELLER BACKGROUND INFO
I have been a vintage auto and motorcycle mechanic and professional vehicle restorer for 40 years, and some of the vehicles I restored sold for world record prices at the famous Barrett Jackson Auction in Arizona, plus, I was a motorcycle engineer at Kawasaki Motors for several years, therefore, I know both cars and motorcycles very well.
EBAY FEEDBACK
This can be a helpful tool for buyers to use when researching a sellers background. I have been fortunate to received very kind comments from everyone I had dealings with on Ebay, including all the people that have bought vehicles from me.
DESCRIPTION
Rare factory V8 model with factory 3.25 gears.
Straight body, decent driver grade paint, a couple typical minor 1/8" size bubbles in the lower front outside corner of the doors but none on the inside. Original floor pans with no rust or rust repair.
Rebuild C4 automatic transmission with a mild shift kit with floor shifter.
Has stock 302 2 v engine that runs extremely smooth with zero vibration whatsoever.
Stock type front disc brakes.
No ring or pinion noise from the differential.
No excessive play in the tie rod ends, idler arm, drag link or steering box.
Runs and drives xlnt.
ENGINE TEMPERATURE
Some of these older vehicles run hot so it is important to let them sit and idle for a while and also drive them a few miles before buying them to determine if they run hot.
This had the original small radiator in it when I bought it and it never got over 185 degrees while driving several miles or idling for 20 minutes in 90 degree weather. I have since bought a 3 row polished aluminum radiator with the large 1/2" tubes because I wanted to put a few shiny things in the engine compartment. This radiator has nearly twice the capacity and nearly twice the cooling area that the tiny original radiator had, so now, if would run cool in 100+ degree temps with an air conditioner if one was added to it.
ENGINE
The engine has good and even compression in all the cylinders. There is no lifter tick when first starting it so the lifters are not bleeding down like some do. There is zero smoke from the exhaust pipe when starting it or when flooring it.
ENGINE VIBRATION TEST
In my experience, the majority of these older cars have more vibration in the engine then they did when they were new, and some have a lot more which is a sign that something is not right and is also annoying while driving, especially on longer trips.
This engine runs just as smooth as it did when it rolled off the showroom floor, and in fact, it has less vibration than many other low mile original vehicles I have driven.
To test for engine vibration you can sit in the car then hold the gas pedal down around 1/4 of the way for around 10 seconds, then hold the gas pedal down around 1/3rd of the way for around 10 seconds. If the amount of vibration changes much between the 2 gas pedal positions, or is excessive in general or is "cyclic", meaning that it vibrates for maybe 2 seconds then stops for 2 seconds then vibrates again etc, there is definitely a problem and it can cost literally thousands of dollars to fix if the engine has to b e disassembled to fix it.
TITLE
The title is free and clear of any liens, however, it is a salvaged title. From what I can tell, there is no sign of a major collision because all the fender aprons and core support are original and not heavily wrinkled and the rockers are original and straight on underneath and the frame rails are not bent or kinked. It also has the original fenders and quarter panels and tail gate etc, so my guess is that years ago when it wasn't worth a lot, it was either stolen and stripped of some parts or there was a minor accident but the cost to fix it was more than the insurance company felt it was worth because they typically place a value on vintage cars that is much lower than their actual value etc.
PHOTOS
If you want a photo of something specific, I will gladly take a close up high resolution one for you. There is nothing that needs to be hidden or excused away on this beautiful car and I am more than happy to prove it.
