Take a REALLY close look....1941 1/2 ton trucks are hard enough to find.This a extremely rare 4 cylinder model called the 'EconolineSeries. I have a file on this truck and a letter from a research specialist with the Benson Ford Research Center-The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan. 4010- 4 cylinder motors crating 30hp. were built in 1941. They were used in the Ford commercial cars, and Ford Tonner ( 1 ton ) trucks during the beginning of WWII. They were also installed in the Ford factory in the light duty, 112" wheelbase 1/2 ton pickups.
We are the third owners. The previous owner was from Alabama and had the truck in his family for forty years. Attracted to the amazing condition and low mileage we brought the truck home in running and driving condition.
Over the next two years the following items were replaced with NEW parts or rebuilt by a qualified vintage Ford mechanic. New Master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, hydraulic hoses, emergency brake cable, and new hood springs. New front knee action shocks, New front and rear bumpers, new headliner, floor mat and new cab, window and door seals.
Again, we have copies of the original Ford service data book and large, colorful, original schematic drawings available to dealers when marketing this truck to the public.I also have the original letter as mentioned above.On Apr-16-18 at 05:56:27 PDT, seller added the following information:
Correction: The front shocks were replaced with a more modern style shock, not knee action as described above. The 11,695 miles is what is reflected on the odometer. We cannot guarantee this mileage to be 100% accurate.
