1995 Ford Bronco OJ Special Description:

1995 Ford Bronco OJ Special

additional photos can be found at flickr (dot) com/photos/142005402@N08/ This is a 1995 Ford Bronco that was government owned (DSO code "56") before I purchased it from the previous private owner. It spent its government life serving New Mexico before it was brought into Texas. It remained in Texas till 2017. I have spent the last year driving it with no problems. It has been used for several trips to Chicago, one trip to Washington DC, a trip to Kentucky and of course my first trip from Texas. I do not hesitate to take it out of town. I regularly achieve 15 mpg mixed driving with a maximum highway mileage of 22 mpg. The truck runs fantastic and uses Fords fuel injected 5.8L engine and the Automatic overdrive E4OD. The engine has been replaced (I'm assuming by the government) with a Ford replacement motor, I can confirm this. The E4OD Transmission has been rebuilt by Seneca Driveline and has 12000 miles remaining on the warranty. I have had the limited slip differential rebuilt and the driveshaft rebuilt. The front hubs, brake discs, pads and lockouts have all been replaced and the 4x4 works perfectly. The Truck uses 31x10.50r15 BFGoodrich Mud Terrain on aluminum wheels and the tires have about 15,000 miles left on them with a full size spare. Routine maintenance has, of course, been performed and consisted of: Regular oil changes (Requires 6 quarts because of the oil cooler) Motorcraft spark plugs, Belden Lifetime warranty plug wires, Echlin Cap and rotor button and a NAPA air filter. A few repairs have been made: The serpentine idler pulley and serpentine belt have been replaced, leaky powersteering hose replaced and a 160* thermostat installed.
When I received the car it was needing interior restoration. There were no carpets, a bunch of wires everywhere, bucket seats, two door panels and a rear seat that couldn't be mounted and as a result had scratched up the trunk area pretty bad. The floor was cleaned, primed and repainted white, new "Extra Plush" carpet from ACC installed throughout the vehicle. I made custom rear area side panels using extra yardage from ACC. A new bracket was sourced from the junkyard and the rear seat is now mounted securely in its place. Ford did install awesome ceramic window tint all the way around and its dark. If you live in a state with window tint laws, these windows have a DOT number from Ford meaning that they were installed at the factory and in 1995 were legal. Grandfathering them out of your states tint law (Worked for me in OHIO) The car has an aftermarket DVD player with folding screen installed with Aux cord in the ashtray.
The exterior of the car is in remarkable shape considering it was a fleet vehicle. There are no dents I can notice in the body work. The Chrome is in great condition. All the lights and signals work. It's absolutely corrosion free. The removable top does not leak (Common for Broncos to leak) no cracks in the windshield. The tailgate is in poor condition cosmetically. it has a few dents and a tear. and the rear bumper has a tear too. It's very strange and unusual. The truck has a CB antenna mount and wiring ran through out the vehicle. Has aftermarket HID headlights installed (The bright blue ones that all the oncoming traffic hates) Paint in in good shape and may have been repainted only because the tailgates paint looks much older or maybe the tailgate was replaced.
I'm torn on if I want to sell this truck because it has been extremely reliable transportation for me and I'm really happy with how the interior has transformed. It gets much better gas mileage than my other Bronco and just as much attention. I unfortunately am running out of room to park my vehicles and I will be listing both my Broncos for sale and I'll keep the one that doesn't sell first. I am interested in a First generation 4runner 1985-1989. I will take your 4runner in on trade as long as its a factory fuel injected vehicle (22RE) it doesn't have to be running, just fuel injected. Let me know if you want any specific pictures or you want to arrange to have your mechanic look at it or you want me to drive it to a shop to have it inspected. additional photos can be found at flickr (dot) com/photos/142005402@N08/ $additional photos can be found at flickr (dot) com/photos/142005402@N08/ This is a 1995 Ford Bronco that was government owned (DSO code "56") before I purchased it from the previous private owner.
