1957 Ford Thunderbird Description:

1957 Ford Thunderbird with 3 speed manual transmission. E Code Engine with dual carbs - built for racing. 1 of 1,499 E Codes in 1957; 1 of 197 E Codes with a 3 speed manual. Very rare and special car. Restoration is a little older now, but still in excellent condition. It has been in our showroom for five or six years, during which less than a thousand miles have been put on it. There's a few nicks and scratches, and a few bubbles in the paint. I've tried to show as much of that as possible in the photos. There's no rust underneath, with exception of a little surface rust on the tie rod ends. The blower motor runs but doesn't appear to push any air. I haven't diagnosed that. The passenger brake light doesn't come on, though it operates fine as a tail light. The seal on the rag top has left a dark line evident in the photos. The car runs a little rich when cold, but runs well when warm; the car needs to be driven more to keep the carbs clean. There are no leaks of any sort, though there are a few seals that seep - again a common product of not being driven much. I just put new valve cover gaskets on. Being sold "As Is" given its age.
