1961 F-100 Unibody Streetrod
1961 Ford F-100 Description:
This truck was built as a Streetrod/Ratrod for everyday driving. The frame, chassi, & powertrain was completed by a local shop, machine shop and trans shop. The body was completed by me ( an amateur). The body only had the normal rust issues that all of these trucks have but was a very solid and untouched truck. The engine is a 70 model 429 bored .30 with a 460 crankshaft and a mild cam, fitted with a Fitech EFI fuel system,MSD ignition, and an 8 groove Serp. belt system with PS & AC option. Cooled by a 3 row aluminum radiator and to flexlight electric fans. The trans is a C-6 recently rebuilt at the same time. Only 800 miles on both. The rear is an 8.8 from a 99 Explorer 4x4 with limited slip and 373 gears. Front suspension is a Helix MustangII and it has 4 wheel power disc brake and power rack and pinion steering with tilt wheel and shift on column. Interior is stock replacements from LMC and has a retrosound stereo with JL Audio speakers. Installed a painless wiring fuse box with Turn and hazard installed. New rubber around front and rear windows. Truck is a blast to drive and a head turner. It has crazy amount of torque.
