There is a great deal that can be said about this unique muscle car. It was fully restored approximately two years ago by the previous owner.
Although many seem to think six figure cars deserve all of the attention “that myth didn’t deter him from swinging for the fences when restoring this one”!
Believe it or not this fun Ford spent its first 23 years in the hands of a famer from Iowa!
When he was not showcasing his talents in the field of agriculture there was plenty of time made to display his collection of Fords.
The car you see pictured here was one of his favorites. Although considered the black sheep to most behind his 1969 Shelby GT 500 & 1956 Skyliner he was known to drive this one the most.
All things being equal the car was finally released from his compilation of antiques sometime in the early 90’s.
Little is known regarding the second owner except that he certainly took it away from that particular region.
When all was said and done it came to rest in the hands of a gentleman from Wisconsin.
He actually started to restore the car during 2012 and would not finish until 2015. Although not perfect “a great effort was made to make it respectable”.
Several attributes really helps to prove that his labor was not in vein!
The Onyx black high gloss finish that was laid looks incredible on this particular model & really gives it character!
The color (or lack thereof) has plenty of depth and is shielded by many layers of gloss enamel.
When the sun is out the exterior almost looks wet!
There is little doubt that the base coat clear method was employed to apply the paint.
The exterior is smooth to the touch and free from any major defects. A flame red GT style side stripe was added that can be best described as STRIKING”!
For the most part all of the panels look to be uniform and properly aligned. The gaps are pretty consistent with factory tooling specifications.
There is not much evidence of previous body work, that being said the quarter panel was replaced. Overkill would be the word I would use to describe the reinforcement apparatus enlisted to ensure structural integrity.
Nonetheless the vehicle is solid!
All of the original chrome, stainless and supporting trim has either been replaced or refurbished. The quarter window moldings have some minor pitting. I do have a couple of nice used ones (just haven’t had time to install them).
Both door handles & mirrors were upgraded to smoke (black chrome) that looks phenomenal! This is just another unique touch that sets this custom pony apart from many others.
New front and rear bumpers were installed (N.O.S. sanctioned components).
The head light bucket trim, grill edge moldings & chrome back up light retainers are all in great shape.
Each factory side vent scoop still looks sharp.
Total nostalgia is in full force whenever looking at it from the tail section thanks in part to the GT style pop open gas cap!
The trunk emblems and corral pony have been updated (shiny / new)! To give the car even more of a custom look the M.U.S.T.A.N.G. emblems that were attached on the fender are eliminated.
Each and every tail light bezel was replaced along with the factory insulation.
The race ready turn signal louver hood is in excellent condition it has received new wiring / bulbs, etc!
Again this Mustang is ready for any venue

Now that details have been discussed regarding the exterior let’s see what she has to offer inside!
Upon opening the door of this 67 Ford you will find a beautiful stark black interior sprinkled with argent accents throughout!
The original black standard buckets and rear bench are in pristine shape! They were both refurbished in 2016.
TMI is the manufacturer of the upholstery & new foam was also added. The seat backs were replaced as well.
The hold pattern is excellent (very presentable)!
A new dash pad was installed that blends in perfect with the rest of the cockpit.
Left to right you will find a superior set of factory style door panels with new attaching hardware!
The inner quarter upholstery still stands true and is in its original form (shows well). The headliner has been upgraded to a high quality felt like material with new dome light (nice addition)!
There will be no problem keeping a firm grip since there’s a new OEM steering wheel installed. Want more muscle…? Try the throw back ratchet shifter!
Loop pile carpet covers the base from front to rear. A wonderfully crafted set of Race ready FLAME RED COBRAFLOOR MATS help to amazing contrast & simultaneously shields the cockpit area from dirt!
All & all the interior of this Mustang is well presented. It quickly helps to recall a time when auto manufacturing was subtle yet impressive.
She even has a nice molded trunk mat & spare too boot!
Now that I have given several reasons why most people love the Ford Brand…… I will talk about what makes other auto manufactures hate it!
No Mustang can truly be considered a muscle car without having a factory V/8!
The power plant that gets this pony car moving is a built 351 W engine! An ATK balanced and blue printed High Performance racing motor was supplanted in place of the factory 289!
The new set up that now lies under the hood is responsible for making over 450 H.P.!
Here’s a short list of what helps to generate the power “forged connecting rods, MahleA pistons and 1.94” intake valves!
The fun doesn’t stop there…… an Edelbrock Performer II intake & Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor distributes the fuel & air intake!
To ensure flow is at its maximum capacity an X-Pipe has been thrown into the performance mix!
Just in case Chevy guys want to try you a set of full length headers along & chambered exhaust provides a growl “warning for them to think twice”!
All of the bases have been covered beyond measure in regards to reliability as well!
This black stallion has new Motor craft plugs, performance wires, alternator, starter, belts, hoses, water pump, thermostat, coil, vacuum advance, fuel pump & just too much more to list!
At the end of the day this Mustang has a look that makes people take notice & enough performance make every trip is a thrilling one!
