1926 Ford Model T Roadster - engine rebuilt - excellent project

1926 Ford Model T Description:

Bought a house and the projects must go! Selling running driving 1926 Ford ModelT Roadster project. This car will need a total restoration except for the engine- engine has been rebuilt and runs very well. Also runs very well on magneto! ( I have rebuilt 3 model t engines and they have all performed very well.) Transmission functions very well in all modes- low/high/neutral/reverse/ brake. You can hand crank this car to start it or use the floor starter button for 6 volt electric start. All four wooden spoke wheels are very good and solid. Car will neednew 21x440/450 tires. I have 4 new tubes and 4 new rubber flaps for the car. Car bodyand doors arevery nice, trunk is decent no rust through, deck lid will need some work but the rare sub frame is there. Very nice original running boards (best ones I have and I have gathered many over the years!) No good splash aprons- you will need new ones. Fenders are decentbut will need work to make them nicehowever- the hard to find rear fenders are here. (1926 roadster/coupeREARFENDERS can sell on ebay for over $1000 each as they are the only model T fenders that are NOT reproduced in steel from the original stamping dies).This 1926 roadster is all vintage henry ford steel-- Most of the hard to find parts are here.THE CONS:This car does not come with top irons, seat springs or upholstery. Eventually you will need a new radiator-this one is old and leaks. Some welding will need to be done to replace and repair part of the rear subframe under the trunk- see last two photos. THE PROS:The car comes with nice upper and lower windshield frames, nice stanchions, very clean fuel tank and new correctwiring. Also-I have tried to avoidnew chrome reproduction parts for this build.Over the years Ihave gatheredsome very nice vintage nickel plated parts: niceradiator shell, ignition switch plate and headlight rims.
