Im selling this car for my client. This is a 1938 all original Ford 2 dr. sedan. This car has had a amateur restoration about 20 years ago by the previous owners sons.This car is soli, no rust that I have found. Frame is solid and so are the floor pans. Running boards are solid also.
The engine was rebuilt buy NAPA a few years ago . since then its had another carburetor put o, brakes, hoses wheel cylinders, water pumps and hoses . However the new carb from sitting for the last few months leaks out the bowl when the car is running. I believe the fuel pressure is set to high on the electric fuel pump, I have not investigated the why as of yet. However the car run, stops steers and drives awesome for a 79 year old car.
The paint and body work are the worst aspects of this car. Just some bad body work, paint is ok. There are a few spots where the bondo work and or t he paint has de- laminated from bad prep work.
The Tires are recen, car is complete and all the bright work and trim is in good condition. Whether your looking for a all original car to do a proper restoration on, or just drive as is or even a period Hot Rod this is a fine car with good bones to to do so.
I have priced this car a fair price and will entertain a fair offer. My client says it needs to go. So his Loss is your Gain on this auction.
