Classic styling with a modern feel, this ’58 F-100 combines the best of all worlds with only 2,400 miles on the rebuild completed 2 ½ years ago. This truck was built in Ford’s Kansas City plant and was immediately purchased by a farming family in Colorado. In 2011 the current owner purchased this truck that needed some love. The body was in good shape, but need attention so it was torn apart and both the body and frame were sandblasted to see what the overall condition was. Any potential issues were addressed correctly by having a professional cut out issues and replace them with good metal. Once the body was completed and ready for paint, the gorgeous two-tone Ford Indian Turquoise and bright white were laid on the body. This stunning combination paired perfectly with the 20” Ridler wheels both front and rear. The front suspension was replaced with TCI Mustang II independent front suspension and has 11” power disc brakes on the front. The power rack and pinion steering was added for easy drivability and is enormously helpful on those long cruises. The interior was professionally reupholstered and the steering column was replaced with a Summit tilt column. The Gauge cluster was equipped with more accurate Equus gauges to easily monitor the rebuilt 302 small block Ford that was pulled out of a 1972 Ford Torino. The ignition was upgraded to a Pertronix system for extra reliability and the intake was replace with an aluminum Edelbrock AirGap intake for better flow and less weight. All of that power is pushed through a set of Heddman headers and 2 ½” stainless steel exhaust equipped with Thrush mufflers. The completion of this build was a life dream come true for the owner who has always had a healthy obsession with the late 50’s Ford pickup trucks for good reason! These pickups are stunning pickup trucks to begin with and, when done up as nice as this one, are absolutely spectacular both to show and drive. When you get in the driver’s seat and fire up the V8 to start your drive, you will be blown away by the ride quality and the overall handling. It is tight and precise and feels more like a sport car than an old pickup truck.
