1979 Ford F-150 Custom Description:

A good old American truck! This is an old farm truck that I purchased in rural PA and drove reliably back to my home in Maryland. As I drove this USA-incarnate V8 home across the Conowingo Dam, a Bald Eagle soared overhead! And things became just a little bit brighter...Ok in all seriousness I did drive this 1979 F-150 Custom over 60 miles back to my home in Carney, and we did spot a Bald Eagle as we drove across the Conowingo Dam as it is a very well known eagle habitat. This old girl has the 351M V8 engine, and a C6 automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes as well so she drives very easy for the vintage, and the top end of the engine was rebuilt by the previous owner so the old girl fires up as soon as you turn the key.
I bought her to use as a fun truck and reliable hauler (mostly Amazon Prime boxes) to the county dump about 20 miles away through windy back roads. The 4 wheel drive works well, and she has locking front hubs. She creaks and has rattles as any old truck should, and has a bit of rust to show her age. Unfortunately that age has left holes in the bed to the point that I would NOT advise taking the bed liner out for any reason other than replacing the entire bed.
The interior is still in very good condition and still has the original headliner. No leaks or burning of fluids that I can see, and I drive her about once a month to keep everything loose. If I let her sit for too long the steering does become tight and there is a delay in the steering. She drives very well on the back roads and on the highways but on 95 I keep her to around 55 miles an hour and anything above that is really pushing it, remember that this is a 38 farm truck we are talking about. Frame has scaling all over but seems very solid still, but the hangers for the suspension should be replaced soon. I tried to get pictures of the most of rust areas but any potential bidders should view the truck is person.
I have tried to describe this old truck to the best of my ability, and she is for sale locally so the auction may be ended at any time. This truck isn't going to set any records so I am only going to accept cash in person when you come pick up the truck. This old girl is sitting in my driveway at the moment so I have no problem holding her for a week or two while you arrange shipping, but please don't buy a vehicle online and then say you'll come by "in a few weeks" to pick it up...I am not a car lot. I'm just a guy selling some cars to make room for other cars so that I can still have too many cars, just different ones.
The main reason that I am selling this truck is that I also bought a '96 Bronco with low miles, and I don't really need 2 four wheel drive trucks. So I decided to concentrate my efforts on the Bronco, thus this old American truck has to find it's way to a new home.
