The car was indeed street-legal as any other Mustang but steps were taken to prove a point. With slightly over $35,000 MSRP in 1995 ($55,000 in 2016 money) the 300 HP 5.8 Liter from the F150 Lightning blasted to 60 in a time of 5.4 seconds. Again, with all Cobra R's, creature comforts were removed for weight such as A/C, radio, roll-up windows, back seat and other sound deadening materials. A recall on the fuel cell was performed, we still have the standard metal casing included in the sale along with the rare track wheels that came with the car.
