1970 Ford Mustang Description:

I recently found this cool car in the garage of one of my customers in Burlington, CT. He had the car since 1986. I'm a contractor from West Hartford and a car lover so when I saw this I fell in love at first sight! The owner was selling the house, just took a job in Southern Cal and decided to make a deal with me for some of the work on the house. I'll admit that I got a good deal, right place, right time. I'd love to keep the car but with 2 kids in college my wife thinks it makes more sense to sell, go figure. I took the car to Enfield Auto Restoration. They went through the motor and got it running good. I registered the car in my name but have the original Texas tittle. I've done my research and found the car has some very rare specs. Wimbledon white exterior with rare vermilion red interior. Shaker hood car. Oil cooler, 430 locking rear car, aka "drag pac". Matching motor with 79k miles. Deluxe Marti report with original Ford invoice. Cons: Paint is poor, rear quarter is starting to go. Carburetor could use some fine tuning. Tach works but spedo doesn't. Needs exhaust out to rear. Front end needs work, handles poorly and the ignition is worn, don't need key to turn on, very common with old Fords. The previous owner hadn't driven the car for a few years. He mainly used it on an occasional weekend day at the track. He bought a special kit from Ford that lowered the car. He put the small racing steering wheel on and the mini lite racing wheels all around. With some TLC, this can be turned into a big money car! Body and frame are super straight and motor is strong.
