1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 R Code 428 Cobra Jet Description:

For Sale is a 1969 R code Mach 1. Silver Jade Automatic 428 Cobra Jet Car.
This car was saved from becoming a pro street car. I purchased it and the rear frame rails and quarter skins had been cutoff the car. The previous owner was preparing to back half it. I put the car on my mustang frame table and installed a set of original rear frames rails out of another Mach 1. From there I went ahead and patched the inner wheel wells and installed new outer wheel wells, trunk drop off a tail light pan and quarter skins. This car will still need to have the rear floor patched up, a new battery apron installed and a patch made for the top of the front frame rail where the battery ate through it in a couple spot. The front of the floor pans are original and retain the 4 ribs. For a fee my shop is willing to finish up the sheet metal work if the new owner needs that done.The fenders and doors are just bolt ons to fit the new quarters and make sure the fenders line up nice. This is a project car that will need to be restored. There is no motor or transmission with the car. The dash tag and fender aprons match, the door tag has been lost.I have a clear title for this car.
