1995 Ford F-150 XL 4x4 Shortbed
You are looking at a 1995 Ford F-150 XL 4x4 with an Automatic Transmission w/Overdrive. It has the 6-Cylinder engine. I purchased the truck with a bad transmission, and have put a lot of money into it. I will list everything that I know about the truck, and will be happy to answer all questions through the "Ask Seller" feature. I have been buying and selling vehicles for number of years, and I do not list an item without giving a full disclosure. Honesty is the best policy. I do not want you to buy something and then get home and have any surprises. There are no warning lights showing on the truck, and it seems to be in pretty good mechanical shape. There is a slight valve noise that comes and goes, and that is due to it having old gas in it, and sitting for about 3 months during the winter while the transmission was being rebuilt. I have added Lucas Fuel System Cleaner, and have driven the truck about 150-200 miles. Once all of the old fuel is out it should be fine.
So, Here is what I have done to the truck:
1. The transmission was completely rebuilt by a local company in Knoxville and installed by a professional mechanic.
2. I have replaced the exhaust with a brand new muffler and tailpipe. There was not a catalytic converter on the truck at time of replacement, and the muffler shop said that it did not need one installed.
3. The front brake rotors have been replaced with new ones. The pads were almost new and were resurfaced.
4. The rear brakes did not need replacing. They were inspected for safety.
5. It has four brand new Monroe shocks.
6. The Coolant System has been flushed and new coolant installed.
7. The Air Conditioning has been serviced and blows very cold.
8. It has a new Ignition Switch, Ignition Lock Cylinder and Door Locks Installed.
9. The Spark Plugs were inspected when the new exhaust was installed and appeared to be near new.
10. The Tires look near new with no signs of wear.
11. A new Sony AM/FM CD player was installed and it has many features such as USB, AUX, and looks like it could be Bluetooth compatible. I am not up to speed with the Sound System.
12. It has four brand new Pioneer Speakers installed, and makes the Sony sound really good. A man has to have some good music in his truck!!
The Bad Things
1. The truck has a couple of rust places that I have tried to show in the pictures. The most notable is on the driver's side rear quarter panel.
2. There is slight dent near the driver's door that is not very noticeable.
3. There is a dent on the roof near the top of the windshield. It may pull out with a suction cup, but you do notice it.
4. The windshield has a crack that will be replaced prior to delivery.
5. The Temperature Gauge works on an intermittent basis. My mechanic thinks that it is in the cluster. When the Coolant System was flushed they thought it may have a short. All other gauges seem to be working as they should.
6. The inside of the truck bed shows signs of wear, but nothing too bad for a 22 year old truck.
