For Sale is my 1973 manual Fiat 124 Spider .
Fist things first: Buyer will be responsible for coordinating pick-up of vehicle. I will assist any way I can but I, buy must make arrangement to pick the vehicle up or have it shipped.
Just in time for your summer - quarter/mid-life crisis!
This is car is in, literally, perfect running condition, just tuned up by my brilliant mechanic in Culver City(which i can give you the info of if interested - great with all euro cars).
Car has less the 70k original miles. (Has not turned over)
No smog required and up to date on registration.
Work I had done:-Carb replacement from manual to electric (along with some hoses that were leaking)-Parking break lever replacement (teeth on the old lever kept slipping)-I had the pedals spaced out a smidge more (I'm a size 12 shoe)-Just had a new battery installed
Other than that the car has been running beautifully. (Even to my mechanics surprise, given the year)
I've had it for 3 years now.2 owners before me: 1st owner left it in a mechanics shop in Hollywood in the early 80s for some work and then skipped town (I can give you that mechanics info if you want.) 2nd owner saw it in said mechanics shop and paid for some cosmetic work (seats, paint, tune-ups) but then sold it to me before getting to use it.
Cleared any liens there may have been on the car when I got it (so it's clean and registered)
I have some misc. parts I was planning to have installed (Lap belts, mirrors), but not legally required (period correct collector car clause in California) which I'll throw in with the car.
Work I'd recommend: installing the seat belts/mirrors(safety first) and maybe some new tires?
