For sale is a 1988 Fiat 126p "Maluch" with about 66,000km (41,000 miles). This car starts, runs and drives great. I've driven this car around town and every time it turns heads. It has a reliable 650cc 24 horsepower carbureted engine paired with a 4 speed manual that is an absolute blast to drive. The 126p is based on the Fiat 500 chassis from the time but instead of being manufactured in Italy, it was manufactured in Poland. It was the most popular car in communist-era Poland and to this day remains quite iconic. These cars are getting hard to find in Poland and near impossible to find in the United States. It is definitely not in perfect showroom condition and could use fresh paint, a tune-up, new tires, interior detailing, etc. Parts for this car are easy to find online and its very easy to work on which would make it a perfect project. I hope this car will get picked up by an enthusiast who can give it the care it deserves.This car was imported from Poland last year. All the paperwork has been done to make this car register-able in the US. While it does not have a title (state of Maine does not issue titles for cars older than 15 years), it does have a valid Certificate of Ownership and current Maine registration which will allow you to register and drive it anywhere else in the US.
The car is located in Maine so transporting the car is the buyers responsibility.
