EDSEL information as follows:The EDSEL was built on two platforms.
The JUNIOR series which included the Pacer, The Ranger, The Bermuda, and the Villager were all built on the Ford platform which was a narrower and shorter Ford platform. These cars could be equipped with a straight six and manual transmission. They could receive any options that were available on the Ford option lists. engine size could include the 361 V8 and automatic transmission.
The SENIOR series which included the Corsair and the Citation and was built on the wider and longer Mercury platform. These were considered to be the top of the line. These cars came with standard equipment and were equipped with the E475 V8 with the TELETOUCH automatic transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes and a AM radio. Interior appointments were also top of the line. This car has factory dual exhaust. This car came with Factory power seat, but it needs a new switch.
This Edsel has solid floors including the trunk. It has had the gas tank flushed out New fuel lines installed on the engine, Radiator repairs, New brake booster unit, New water pump, rebuilt heater core and new water hoses. I am changing the rear wheel cylinders.
This car needs the following:
Tires....25 years oldrepair gas gauge circuit. Tank unit checks o.k.minor right rear fender repairWindshield wipers needs replacement
Every thing else seems O.K. Car starts up and transmission shifts as it should
