1958 Edsel Corsair 4 door hardtop Description:

This 1958 Edsel Corsair is a mostly original and totally rust free. The interior shows extremely well and has just had the foam replaced in the lower section of the front seat.The paint is partially original and well worn but is still presentable. It has had extensive mechanical work in the past year. The engine was removed and completely torn down, cleaned up, and the following repairs done: Heads rebuilt with all new valve seats, guides, springs, surfaced, and machined for positive valve seals. New cam, lifters, and timing chain. Rope main seal replaced with rubber lip seal. New Holley 4150 carburetor. Pertronix Ignitor and coil. Exhaust manifolds resurfaced and all new factory style dual exhaust installed. Radiator boiled and repaired. Treadle Vac rebuilt. New front wheel cylinders, brake shoes, and grease seals. Brake drums resurfaced. Pinion seal replaced. Transmission fluid and filter changed. Teletouch contacts repaired. Fuel sending unit repaired. New Coker 15" wide white radials and chrome reverse wheels installed. Even the vacuum tube radio works. Original wheels and caps come with car as well as any other original mechanical parts that have been replaced. This is a great old Edsel at a bargain price.
