1974 Dodge Challenger Rare 340 c.i. Mopar V-8 R/T Tribute Description:

Description: 1974 Dodge Challenger with a 1970 Challenger R/T front end. Power comes from a 1972-73, 340 c.i. high performance Mopar small block and backed by a 727 Torque Flight automatic transmission. Only 4 test miles have been logged on the car. Everything on the car is new.

The owner started this project as a show car and did a rotisserie build with all new parts. It is about 80% complete and needs some of the included trim pieces installed along with some wiring and testing of the exterior lighting. Otherwise, it starts and is ready to run.

It is being sold as part of an estate.

Body & Paint:

Single stage urethane with painted side stripes and finished undercarriage.

New ‘K’ member

Body appears rust-free and has no patch panels.

All new hinges, latches, gas tank, and fuel lines.

No chips cracks or nicks.

Glass is in excellent condition.

Metal bumpers were painted to match the car.

New grill and taillight assemblies

New weather stripping and body plugs

Engine & Transmission:

340 cu. in. Mopar casting number #2780930-340-7 (1972-73 vintage).

Cylinder head casting#’s of 3671587.

Offenhauser intake manifold

Electronic ignition, including distributor.

Heavy duty radiator

Mopar Valve Covers

Torque Flight transmission with reverse manual valve body.

2200 RPM stall converter.

Chassis & Differential:

Rebuilt 8.75 rear differential with 3.23 non-posi-traction gears

New:

Springs, shocks, front end, and steering.

Power brakes (disc front, drum rear).

18” 5-spoke wheels with Dunlop 225/55R/18 tires

Interior:

Stock interior with new dash pad, reupholstered seats (front & rear), carpeting, headliner, and rear package tray shelf.

Shift console is an OEM item.
