Stock #: V18684 Exterior Color: Sublime Green Interior Color: Black Body Type: Hardtop Transmission: 727 TorqueFlite Automatic Engine: 340 6 Pack Title Condition: Clear 53,585 actual miles, same owner the last 27 years! Real T/A, has the vin # matched motor, trans and colors it was born with. Matches the original fender tag exactly. Actually the owner says every mechanical part that has a number on it is correct. This is an honest car. He did the restoration in the mid 90s, I thought it was just done recently it looks so good. That says alot about the quality of restoration. Only 1,500 miles since restored, he trailer-ed it to a lot of shows. The car feels right too. Door shuts like new, it stops, steers and accelerates perfectly.
What makes a T/A extra special?
T/A stands for Trans Am, as in racing.
Performance Mechanical components:
The 340 6 pack was performance built and uses a reinforced engine block unique to this car. Heavy duty Torqueflite trans, 3.55 sure grip rear, Rallye suspension, quick ratio steering, power front disc brakes, 15x7 wheels, rear tires were 2 sizes bigger then the front, low restriction exhaust exits each side of the car.
Cosmetic features:
Light weight fiberglass ram air hood, grill and hood are blacked out, hood pins, racing mirrors and gas cap, side stripes, chin spoiler, dove tail spoiler and collapsible spare.
EXTERIOR: All metal, no fillers or patches. Panels fit precisely, doors and trunk shut like a new car. Has an original, not reproduction fiberglass ram air hood. The stainless trim around the roof and windows are polished. Has painted sport mirrors. In back it has the dove tail spoiler, rechromed bumper. Tail light chrome and lense is mint. All the glass is original with Mopar logo. The windshield is so nice I thought it was new. Windows are clear and fit real nice. Original 15 inch Rallye wheels were restored. INTERIOR: Sitting in the car I feel like I'm in a new one. Definitely has characteristics of a low mile car. The woodgrain steering wheel and shift knob shows virtually no wear. All the plastic trim- door panes, console, kick panels, seat backs are mint original. The dash pads typically split, this dash pad is mint original with its original vin still attached. Has speakers in the corners of the dash because it's a factory stereo car. The instrument area is mint, no wear, cracks, damage etc. Still has it's original Am-Fm stereo. Inside the glovebox is mint, even the ashtray and cigarette lighter look like they have never been used. Everything works- key buzzer, clock, stereo and even the front to rear speaker control. Seat cushions still feel real firm. Headliner, visors, seat belts, rear speaker tray are all mint. It has nice set of embroidered floormats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original vin # match 340 high performance motor with T/A cast on the side of the block. All correct original components including the 6-pack carbs. The motor has been completely rebuilt and runs flawlessly. It's detailed out beautifully. The engine bay is perfectly clean metal and it's all painted glossy Sublime green. All the components are detailed. It is very authentic, has the correct heat shields over the exhaust manifolds which I don't think I've ever even seen before. All three carbs are functional. Has power brakes and optional, very desirable power steering. Restored original Mopar radiator, correct shroud, fan, clamps etc. Original fender tags still attached. One lists the option codes and the other says Trans Am.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Detailed out real nice. Rock solid metal been cleaned and sealed. Collapsible spare, air bottle and complete jack assembly are mint and mounted properly. Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted beautifully, the weatherstrip is still soft.
UNDERSIDE: Front end was completely rebuilt. The original vin # matching Torqueflite trans was completely rebuilt. The 8 3/4 rear end with 3.55 gears was rebuilt. The rear suspension was rebuilt. Brakes were rebuilt, has disc in front. It has the correct, very unique exhaust that exits out each side. The floors and frame rails are rock solid. They were cleaned and resealed.
The more I looked at this car the better it got. It shows strong characteristics of a low mile pampered muscle car. Not resurected from the dead like many are. It looks and functions like a new car. First time offered for sale in 27 years, now is your chance!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.

About Volo Auto Museum No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB. Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down. Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
